AIR QUALITY TESTING (MOLD)
Molds are organisms that are found indoors and outdoors. They are part of the natural environment and play an important role in our ecological system by breaking down and digesting organic material.
WHY BE CONCERNED?
Mold is not usually a problem indoors... unless mold spores land on a wet or damp area and begin growing. As molds grow, they digest whatever they are growing on. Unchecked mold growth can damage buildings and furnishings. Molds can rot wood, damage drywall, and eventually cause structural damage to buildings.
HEALTH EFFECTS
Inhalation exposure to mold indoors can cause negative health effects in some people. Molds produce allergens, irritants and, in some cases, potentially toxic substances (mycotoxins). Inhaling or touching mold or mold spores may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
Now available from Buyer Aware Home Inspections: Airborne mold testing and analysis. Airborne mold testing can be performed in any area that is suspect (eg. musty smelling basement) and determines the presence and severity of mold spores in the air that you and your family breathe. Using professional grade air quality testing equipment, we take samples of the air in suspected problem areas which are then analyzed by a leading environmental testing laboratory.
Allow our mold certified inspectors to test for the presence of airborne spores in any areas of your home or the home that you are considering... and sleep better tonight.
