They are very knowledgeable, very personable, very efficient, and very thorough. The Final inspection summary was a great tool to give us immediate answers to make immediate decisions without the full report.

They estimated the full report would be emailed to us within 24 hours however; we received a very detailed full report within only 8hrs!! Very impressed! The full report was so detailed that included pictures of anything needing attention.

Definitely happy with the decision to use their services and you will be too!
Thanks guys!!

Certified Home Inspectors
Buyer Aware Home Inspections boasts highly trained and certified home inspectors who will go through every facet of your home to identify and troubleshoot problems such as missing insulation, hidden foundation cracks or leaks and electrical or drainage problems. They possess the expertise and use a detailed approach to understand life-threatening issues for your family while recommending strategies to resolve issues that could contribute to energy loss and safety hazards.

Thermal Inspections

Buyer Aware Home Inspections uses modern updated thermal imaging technology to detect and image even minor variances in different materials based on their thermal mass. Thermal imaging is capable of identifying several issues that are cause for concern such as: unknown plumbing leaks, broken seals in windows, water and moisture intrusion that could lead to mould, electrical faults that could lead to fires and more.

It makes sense to have a complete home inspection instead of exposing yourself and your loved ones to risks that could have been easily prevented. Thermal imaging for air tightness and energy efficiency are significant quality control measures when buying a home. Heat loss can make up 50 per cent of total energy consumption with causes ranging from air leakage through chimneys, attics, and wall vents to poorly sealed doorways to missing insulation.

Protect your home and family by investing in a complete home inspection by the professionals. Stay educated and informed before moving into your new home by knowing the facts. Contact Buyer Aware Home Inspections in Barrie.

Where do your downspouts discharge?

1 2 3

Water can be your home’s worst enemy.  In order to protect your home from expensive damage make sure that your downspouts successfully discharge the roof’s rain water at least 6 feet away from the house.  This home’s downspout discharges into the grade beside the foundation wall and has caused the corner of the home to sink close to 5 inches!

When is it time to get your roof re-shingled?

There are several visual clues to look for to determine whether it’s time to replace your asphalt shingles:

-The first clue is to look at the corners of the ‘tabs’ on the shingles.  The corners will start to curl and lose their shape.

-The second clue is to look inside your eavestrough. If your shingles are getting worn out, it is here that you’ll find the granules that protect your shingles from the damaging ultraviolet rays that have fallen or worn off.

-A third sign is when you can see cracking in your shingles.

All of these are signs that your shingles are nearing the end of their useful life and it’s time to start saving for a new roof.
